A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within ED&F Man to lead our global sugar research desk.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ED&F Man’s global Sugar research team that analyses proprietary data to support our physical sugar trading teams. Leading our specialist research teams in London, Brazil, India, Singapore and US, the candidate will guide and drive the department’s global Sugar views.
ED&F Man has been a market leader in commodity trading and logistical solutions for many years. This role will concentrate on providing crucial information to the business about strategic market developments in the industry, and on producing creative ideas and solutions linked to the changing Global sugar trading environment.

Who We Are
Established in 1783, ED&F Man is an employee-owned agricultural commodities merchant with 7,000 people in 60 countries and annual revenue in excess of $10bn. We trade sugar, coffee, molasses, animal feed, grains and pulses. We help our counterparties manage price risk through hedging and provide access to commodity and capital markets through our brokerage business.
We source or process raw, white and specialty sugars from over 40 producing countries. We sell to refineries, industrial users, wholesalers, retailers and consumers, offering local solutions though a number of in-country purchasing, sales and distribution businesses. We have also invested in a food technology company to launch a stevia sweetener with the flavour and mouth feel of sugar.
