FX Operations Analyst (0117)

ROLE

Working as part of a small City-based team, this role provides essential operations support provided to the Foreign Exchange trading business. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The role entails a variety of analysis and report related activities, for example:

  • Produce morning reports for reconciliations department.
  • Counterparty Reconciliations.
  • Check morning control reports and present any breaks to Supervisor or Manager.
  • Entry of Foreign Exchange, Option & Futures trades into external prime broker systems.
  • Net daily settlement figures with counterparties.
  • Client & Prime Broker Settlements.
  • Identify trade breaks via the Prime Broker systems.
  • Verifying of Foreign Exchange trades in operating system
  • Produce end of day control reports and present any breaks to Supervisor or Manager.
  • Updating of daily Foreign Exchange Statistics.
  • Option Expiry process.
  • Non-Deliverable Forward fixing process.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Demonstrable ability to work as part of a diverse team to co-ordinate activity locally and remotely.
  • Proven ability to use own initiative to solve a problem and communicate confidently to involved parties.
  • Experience in a similar role and educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and Outlook is essential.
  • Willingness to work on a shift basis between 7:30am and 7:30pm, Monday to Friday.
