Cyber Security Specialist (0105)

The Role

This position, within a small IT Security team, will be responsible for monitoring security controls and investigating security alerts as well as providing security incident response support. Where possible, the incumbent should look to improve the corporate IT Security posture.


  • Security Incident response and remediation (including forensics)
  • Threat and Vulnerability analysis
  • Malware analysis
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Maintenance of the security risk register
  • Assisting both internal and external audits relating to Cyber security
  • Keeping abreast of latest security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts and vulnerabilities pertaining to the company, and staying current on the latest security trends, best practices, and technology developments
  • Provide cover for the Cyber Security Manager during absences / leave.


 Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Cyber security
  • CompTIA(security), CEH or OSCP desirable
  • Knowledge of hacking techniques
  • Experience with sandbox malware analysis
  • Working knowledge of the Cyber kill chain and steps to mitigate them
  • Working knowledge of encryption technologies and methods
  • Superior analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with end point forensic analysis
  • Experience managing identity and access management (AD, ADFS, DirSync, FIM etc.)
  • Working knowledge of security systems and appliances (Firewalls, proxies, endpoint controls, IDS/IPS, DLP, SIEM, vulnerability assessment tools, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Wireshark
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of cloud services architecture and multi-tenant connectivity solutions (Office 365, AWS etc.)
  • Keen and demonstrable passion for Cyber Security and the motivation to drive forward personal development from a technical perspective
  • Excellent customer facing, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to share expertise with others
  • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
  • Able to adapt to changing circumstances effectively.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated, directed and detail-oriented traits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

We help our counterparties manage price risk through hedging and provide access to commodity and capital markets through our brokerage business.

ED&F Man is a pioneer as well as a trader in liquid agricultural by-and- co-products. We offer expertise in animal nutrition and feed dispense technology to farmers. We work closely with manufacturers, such as rum and yeast producers, to provide quality products from sustainable sources.

Our capability includes sourcing, shipping, storage and distribution of molasses, molasses

blends and other sugar co-products, as well as vegetable and fish oils. Using the sourcing skill of our trading division and the blending and inventory management know-how of our storage operations, we tailor make sophisticated blends to match our customers’ needs.
